Florinas Golf: The Eco-Friendly Course 15 Minutes from Villa Malvasio
A few weeks ago, we hosted a couple of English golfers at Villa Malvasio who came to Sardinia with one specific goal: playing at Florinas Golf. They returned in the evening with wide smiles, won over not only by the technical layout of the course but also by the human warmth and incredible helpfulness of the club's President. Two Courses in One
The unique feature of this club is its multifunctional design. Depending on the calendar day, the course changes its layout, guided by clear signage:
- Even Days: Play takes place on the "Standard" 9-hole course, a longer and more technical layout ideal for those seeking a traditional golf experience.
- Odd Days: The course transforms into a dynamic 18-hole Pitch & Putt, perfect for a quick, fun game suitable for both experts refining their precision and absolute beginners.
Ryder Cup Grass and Respect for the Earth
Forget golf courses viewed as enemies of the environment. Here, you breathe a different air—literally "zero pesticides" to prevent any contamination. The club is a model of eco-sustainability: it features the restoration of an old quarry and ancient agricultural buildings, solar panels that cover 60% of energy needs, and a real treat for connoisseurs. Paspalum vaginatum was chosen for the fairways. This is the exact same grass used at Marco Simone in Rome for the 2023 Ryder Cup, capable of reducing water consumption to about a quarter compared to normal crops.

The calendar is packed with unmissable events, from the Sardinia International Pitch&Putt to the Regional Championship finals, all the way to the prestigious Coppa del Presidente. Despite the high quality, the club's philosophy is to make golf accessible to everyone. Management is highly modern and 100% digital. Through the online secretariat, the 18-hole Green fee costs just 40 €, while access to the driving range alone is only 10 €.
