To greet our protagonist family, there is an employee of a large property management company, a key delivery person perpetually in a hurry. He cannot point out a beach sheltered from the wind, he cannot recommend a good local pizzeria, and, worst of all, he does not even know the name of the house owner. Ten quick minutes, a signature, and he vanishes.
Entering the house, after a long journey, comes the first bitter discovery: there is not even a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. The messages to the host begin. One, two, three. No response. The “Ghost Host” has collected the money and vanished into thin air, leaving the guests abandoned to themselves.
